Recovery looks different for every person.
Maumee Valley Guidance Center provides outpatient substance use treatment for individuals whose use of alcohol or other substances is affecting their health, relationships, employment, education, family life, or emotional well-being.
Our treatment approach recognizes that substance use and mental health concerns frequently occur together. When appropriate, both can be addressed as part of an integrated treatment plan.
Services may include substance use assessment, individual counseling, group counseling, relapse-prevention planning, recovery education, motivational enhancement, identification of triggers, development of healthy coping skills, family support, and coordination with other behavioral health and community services.
Treatment focuses on helping individuals understand patterns of substance use, strengthen motivation for change, develop healthier coping strategies, improve stability, and establish recovery supports.
Clients are active participants in developing their treatment goals.
Co-Occurring Treatment
Some individuals experience both substance use concerns and conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, or other mental health disorders.
MVGC can coordinate behavioral health and substance use services so the whole person is considered in treatment.
