Out Patient Therapy

Life can present challenges that are difficult to manage alone. Outpatient therapy provides a confidential and supportive environment where individuals and families can work through concerns, develop healthier coping strategies, and make meaningful changes.

Maumee Valley Guidance Center provides outpatient counseling for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

Treatment is individualized based on each client’s needs, strengths, preferences, and goals.

Therapy may address anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, family concerns, stress, anger, emotional regulation, self-esteem, behavioral concerns, parenting challenges, major life changes, and co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns.

Depending upon the client’s needs, services may include individual therapy, family therapy, couples or marital therapy, and group therapy.

Our clinicians use evidence-based and trauma-informed treatment approaches to help clients develop practical skills that can be used outside of the therapy office.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Treatment generally begins with an assessment to better understand your concerns and goals. You and your clinician will then develop an individualized treatment plan.

Progress is reviewed throughout treatment so that services continue to address your needs.
