At Maumee Valley Guidance Center, we believe that education is one of the most effective tools for promoting mental wellness, preventing substance misuse, and building stronger, healthier communities. Our evidence-based education and prevention programs are designed for children, teens, adults, families, workplaces, schools, and community organizations throughout Defiance, Fulton, Henry, and Williams counties.
Our experienced prevention specialists provide engaging, interactive training that equips participants with practical skills to improve mental health, strengthen resilience, build healthy relationships, and recognize when someone may need help. Whether we are working with students in the classroom, training educators and professionals, supporting parents, or presenting to community groups, our goal is to empower individuals with the knowledge and confidence to make positive choices and support those around them.
Programs include Mental Health First Aid, Project DAWN (Naloxone Education), Signs of Suicide (SOS), Botvin LifeSkills Training, The Incredible Years: Dinosaur School, Parent Café, Catch My Breath, WISE (Wellness Initiative for Senior Education), Mental Health in the Workplace, and a variety of customized presentations tailored to your organization’s needs.
If your school, business, faith community, or organization is interested in bringing one of our educational programs to your location, we would be happy to work with you to find a program that meets your needs. Together, we can increase awareness, reduce stigma, strengthen prevention efforts, and help create healthier communities for everyone.
