Maumee Valley Guidance Center’s Fatherhood Program is designed to support fathers as they build stronger relationships with their children, strengthen their families, and work toward personal goals.
Available to fathers in Defiance and Fulton Counties, the program provides practical tools, education, encouragement, and support to help dads become more confident, engaged, and positive influences in their children’s lives.
24:7 Dad® A.M.
At the heart of the Fatherhood Program is 24:7 Dad® A.M., a nationally recognized fatherhood curriculum developed by the National Fatherhood Initiative®.
The program creates a supportive environment where fathers can learn, connect, and strengthen skills that can make a difference at home and in their relationships.
Topics include:
- Communication and parenting skills
- Understanding a father’s role
- Managing and expressing emotions
- Building healthy relationships
- Co-parenting
- Child development
- Connecting with your children
- Men’s health and wellness
- Balancing work and family responsibilities
More Than a Parenting Program
Every father and every family is different. That’s why the Fatherhood Program goes beyond classroom education.
Participants can receive individual goal planning and case management to identify personal and family needs, connect with helpful resources, and work toward greater family stability.
Parent Café conversations also provide opportunities for fathers to connect with other dads, share experiences, discuss the challenges of parenting, and learn from one another in a welcoming environment.

The Fatherhood Program is available to fathers in Defiance and Fulton Counties. Whether you are a new dad, an experienced father, a co-parent, or simply looking for ways to build a stronger relationship with your children, the program is here to support you.
